MATCHES OF THE NATIONAL RUGBY TEAM OF ARMENIA
N19.
24.05.08. Serbia - Armenia 19:8 (7:3)
Armenia played the last match of the 2006-2008 season in Belgrade on May 24 at the stadium of the Royal Belgrade Rugby Football Club. The match played in sunny weather was officiated by referee from the Netherlands Sin Mallon. The commissar of the match was Mikael Beerman from Malta.

Armenia lacked the sufficient level of sporting motivation in that match as it was evident that even in the event of registering a victory it could not outstrip Sweden. Apparently, to take advantage of the situation coach J.J. Bos decided to test the next reserve. Besides, one should take into account the circumstance that the national team of Armenia had arrived in Belgrade on a coach after a long journey.
The game was tough and even gross, evidence of which was the yellow and red cards received by Serbian players. The Serbian rugby players had a very high level of sporting motivation and made all efforts for a victory which would take them from bottom of the division. As a result the match ended in Serbia's victory 19:8 (7:3).
The national team of Armenia played in the following composition: R. Axsarlian, L. Bedrossian, Laurent, Melkonian, A-K. Tchurukdichian, Vigon Kurtiad, Avedikian, L. Hairapebian, Kanzian, Saagian, Siana, Delewille, Eranian, G. Apelian, N. Anselin.
Reserve players: Vardanyan, Dupinian, Gilbert, Nazarikn, Gerlach.
Axsarlian scored a penalty and Laurent a touchdown for Armenia.
